In 2010, Pakistan experienced one of the worst floods in its history, affecting over 20 million people and destroying the lives and homes of thousands. EMAT quickly recognised the urgent need for targeted aid and launched an emergency relief mission focused on delivering food to the most vulnerable families.
With a target of raising £100,000, EMAT committed to providing 10,000 food packs—each sufficient to feed a family of five for two weeks. Each pack was carefully costed at £10, ensuring maximum reach and impact.
Two members of the Mian family personally travelled to Pakistan to oversee the operation, working alongside trusted contacts on the ground. True to EMAT’s principles, every pound donated was used solely for food purchases, with all logistics and travel costs covered by the family.
