In response to the devastating 2005 Pakistan earthquake, EMAT quickly mobilised a family-led relief effort. Though the epicentre was a full day’s drive from the Mian family’s ancestral village, EMAT arranged seven heavy trucks filled with blankets, food, and emergency supplies. The convoy travelled to the affected region, where all infrastructure had collapsed. Using the trucks as a makeshift base, aid was distributed directly to survivors under the personal supervision of Mian Akbar Ali and his family. This response demonstrated EMAT’s commitment to acting swiftly and compassionately in times of crisis.
