Since 2000, EMAT has funded annual week-long eye camps in partnership with Ibrahim Eye Hospital and local NGOs. These camps offer free eye tests and cataract surgeries to underserved communities. Over the last decade, 10,000 people have been tested and 4,000 treated for cataracts — all at a cost of just £10 per surgery.
